lift
the lift was mended quickly tonight but it is obviously not fit for purpose
for the info of new people it was out of order for 6 months last year, so many of us are surprised when it ever works, and yes this does strongly ruin living here

Well… The lift is out of order AGAIN. I emailed Steven Scanlans and this is the reply i have just received:

Please be advised that this was reported to us approx 1/2 ago and we
have instructed the out of hours contractor for Academy to attend asap.
We are hopeful that the issue can be resolved this evening, dependant on
the problem and the engineer does have my contact details.

it’s broken again… which is really annoying if you have to get your shopping or any furniture to one of the top floors. I have to say the general state of the building is appauling at the moment – it really needs repainting, people are smashing out the roofing tiles, leaving rubbish on the stairs and someone is leaving empty cans and half eaten food all over the place. Basically a small minority are ruining the building for everyone else. Basically if anyone wants to paint their flats or hallway the paint is 0603-Y20R from Johnstonne’s Birmingham – this was the original mix so matches perfectly, as it doesnt look like it will get done otherwise. The carpark door could do with some attention too.
Surely if the lift is faulty or has not been correctly installed it should be covered by the 10 year NHBC warranty and a new one installed? Why would this not happen?
I am delighted they are eventually referring the matter to NHBC after far too long claiming the problem lay with resident behaviour rather than an intrinsic design problem.
